Those of you who know us are aware of our almost legendary status for changing hotel rooms. Well that didn't happen this time but we couldn't say the same about a simple car (SUV) rental. No one could get the navigational system working with my phone on the Nissan Rogue. The easy fix was to change vehicles so we were given a Ford Bronco. I don't get along well with Fords but at least it's not white...I'd hate to remind anyone of OJ. Remember when a map was good enough?
Our adventure for the day was a visit to the Canadian Museum For Human Rights. Sadly we did not have anywhere near enough time to take it all in. Ideally I think you need a yearly pass to fully do it justice.
Eight floors of exhibits, videos and rhetoric, all connected by ramps, it is physically challenging to get around. It strangely is not particularly disabled friendly.
There were many lessons to be learned. I think my take away will be that no matter how well Canada has done on this front compared to others there is still much to be done.
To save some time hoping to get back to the vehicle before it got towed away, we made it with about five minutes to spare. Time for a final stop at the Burton Cummings Theatre For Performing Arts. As is typical for us we were in the right place at the wrong time. I would love to have seen Paul Reiser.
